    Hello,

you mean you drag and drop the midi file into logic I guess and you have studio drummer loaded in the track you drag the midi file/groove onto? If you want to have other sounds from other instruments to play with those midi files/grooves there is no quick way, you'll always have to manually match the sounds.

When I drag and drop grooves into logic they just dont play. It seems like the sounds are not matching.

You keep saying "grooves" but the question being asked is what do your grooves consist of? MIDI or audio? If you import MIDI, midi doesn't produce sounds, it triggers sound from some plugin such as Studio Drummer. Typically you'd just use the Studio Drummer plugin within logic as a plugin on the track and it would play in the same way it plays in the standalone Kontakt app.

If you're trying to import an audio file you have to convert it to a WAV or MP3 file to import into as an audio file. I don't believe Studio Drummer does that because it operates on MIDI only. Normally you'd use the Kontakt plugin in Logic and use the Logic facilities to convert it to an audio file.

Studio drummer has Mitty loops they’re called grooves. You’re supposed to be able to drag the loop into logic, and it would play exactly the same. But when I drag the loop from studio drummer into logic, the instruments don’t line up with the logic instruments and the sound don’t play.

@Sorbie Make sure to drag and drop the groove on the Kontakt track where the library is. If you drag and drop it on another MIDI/instrument track it will trigger notes on this instrument.

Jeremy I do that, is there another setting I'm missing? The loop moves but the sounds don't line up with Logic. I have both set to RM, should I use another map?

Well, I would suggest to not set them at all and leave these as default.

Thanks Jeremy, I'll try that tonight. I am pretty sure I did this but I'll do it again in case I really didn't.
