Metapop songs license
I want to distribute some of the remixes I created on metapop. Some of them have vocals on. what type of license did metapop tracks have. Can I release these track as original compositions, coversongs, or are these tracks in the public domain?

I would assume that no, you cannot distribute remixes of someone elses work.
Just because the parts were made available for a competition, does not mean that it's all in the public domain and the artist doesn't want anything to do with it.
If they contain parts from the original version then they clearly are not original compositions or covers.
Even if you credit the original artist and call it the Osirus Remix, you don't have the right to distribute it, and certainly not to make money from it - unless you have permission from the artist/label.

Metapop had hundreds of competition over time and different conditions applied. In the context of vocals, you most like had a vocal from another artists which was licensed specifically for the competition and therefor you wouldn't be able to release it commercially or distribute it.
Nothing that you had access to on Metapop, being stems from other tracks or samples from our products, are public domain.
