Maschine on live stage

edited October 2024 in Komplete Kontrol

I have a Komplete Kontrol A25 and A49 that I use in the studio through Logic Pro and Native Access. I primarily use the K Kontrol keyboards in midi mode for my Kontakt instrument library. I would like to take the keyboard to live shows (replacing a Yamaha 88 key stage piano and vintage Farfisa that I currently use) but don't want to introduce Logic to our stage shows. Could I load Kontact Instruments in Maschine and control it with the Komplete Control A49, sending the output directly to my mixer, or am I stuck with Logic?

I know that this might be a dumb question, but do you use laptop for making your music for live performances?

No, I don't use the laptop for creating music. I do however, use the laptop for mixer (Midas M32C) control.

    Hmm...

Is it possible for you to drag the files of your created music from your computer to a laptop?

    Just curious...

Thanks. Actually, I want to ditch the laptop and load my Kontact digital instruments onto Mascine. This is for a live performance, I won't be using recorded tracks.

    Well...that is a good idea.

But before you do this, try experimenting that alone.

Imagine live performance inside your room, to make sure that the tracks work properly.

    Wish you the best!

You can plug the A49 and the Maschine controller to your computer and run the Maschine software in standalone. Keep in mind that both the A49 and Maschine controllers are just controllers, they need a computer to run the software. Unless you meant a Maschine Plus. In this case you can plug the A49 and play instruments from the A49 in Maschine Plus. Maschine Plus does not have all the instruments though, only a selection: https://www.native-instruments.com/en/products/maschine/production-systems/maschine-plus/sounds/
