Import date issue...
I know this has been brought up a few times already, but it seems to be worse now.
When I open my Music library, traktor sees the proper dates from the Music app, but when I import, it changes date not only in track collection (which I understand) but it also changes in Music folder.
What's even crazier is, it doesn't do it to all tracks, just most. Some of my older stuff keeps original dates.
If I refresh the playlists in the Music tab it goes back to seeing the proper dates, but again changes when played.
If I missed some sort of fix for this, can someone point me in the right direction PLEASE 🙏

Heyo!
Are you still running 3.5? Have you tried with the latest Traktor Version?

You can set Traktor to not write anything into the music files in Preferences->File Management. That should stop it modifying your file dates I think.

Hey Mike,
Unfortunately turning on "do not write any tags" doesn't work either.
This has been an issue for me for quite some time. I brought it up in the in the old forums & have seen a few people having the issue in the new ones as well.
I recently decided to clear my collection in traktor to clean things up a bit, mainly because there was over 19k files in there and it Def bogs it down.
But now I've left myself with this issue on a bigger scale & its killing me!
I have noticed that this is only happening with 320 bitrate tracks (which is most of my library) & didn't start happening till Traktor 3 but that's as far as I can figure out

Are you talking about the file date or the content of the release date tag in the metadata?

I'm talking about the Date Added that is used in Music App.
Previously Itunes & Traktor would sync the dates added flawlessly. Somewhere along the line between the switch over to Music App or from Traktor 2 to 3 this has changed.
Traktor will see Date Added folders exactly how they are when clicking the music tab, But when imported it changes to the current date, not only in the Track Collection folder but in the Music tab as well. I can see it being essential for the Track Collection of Traktor, but by changing within the other fields it totally takes away from searching out older tracks.
For example, if I make a playlist to do a 4-5 set, obviously I will be covering a decent amount music maybe up to say 10+ yrs ago. with having the option of Date Added I can flip my column view and be brought back to those tracks instantly. Losing that feature is grueling
As I said prior, I cleared my collection because having over 19k files in Traktor makes the prog. sluggish in many ways. Now as I'm trying to reload everything, this is become a real problem.
I do appreciate your feedback

Ok,
I was only asking a question to see if a moderator may have any answer for me or point me in the right direction.
Wasn't questioning if they were doing their job.
But thnxs for your input!
