Kontakt 7: Your version of Kontakt is too old to open this file...

This bug is killing me. All my products are updated to the latest versions, but when I'm loading a number of instruments in Native Access I get the error above. Some of the instruments work fine, others are not. I fail to see any pattern why some work and others don't.

The error message is well known but the problem/solutions out there, doesn't seem to fit in my case. I wonder if this as anything to do with the fact that I use the latest MacMini with M2 Pro processor? I have read somewhere that NI doesn't support this processor yet. If this is the case, I just have to wait. But somehow I don't think that this is the case.

Funny thing is, that I can load the failing instruments in Kontakt 7 as standalone application, but not in Komplete Access or as a plugin in my DAW (Ableton Live).

System info:

Mac OS Ventura 13.6.3, Mac Mini M2 Pro, 16 GB ram

Komplete Kontrol 3.1.0

Native Access 3.8.1

Native Instruments Komplete 14 - Standard

Any thougts anyone?

    Did you update Kontakt 7 to the 7.7.3. version?

    Do you have different and multiple Kontakt softwares?

    Maybe that is the issue.

    Delete all the Kontakt versions except for the newest one.

    I had a version of Kontakt 6 Player installed, but I have now uninstalled it. Didn’t help. I have migrated my NI installation to Mac Mini from a MacBook Pro. Maybe I have to wipe the installation and start from scratch.

    Well...if that is your last option, do it, but only as a last resort.

    If this doesn't help, maybe someone else can help.

    @Oldenborg Make sure to give full disk access to Komplete Kontrol, Kontakt and Logic: How to Enable Full Disk Access on macOS

    If that doesn't fix the issue, can you click on the NI logo of the Kontakt window when in Logic? What version does it show?
