Only Use Browser with Komplete Control (and not Kontakt 7)?

Just spent a newbie day trying to figure out why I was not able to use the browser from my S49 in Logic Pro 10.8...then changed from Kontakt 7 to Komplete Kontrol on the track and all is well--all features work as advertised. But...can that be right? If I want to use the browser with instruments, I can ONLY use Komplete Kontrol?

Thanks!

That’s the problem then, being able to load and browse just Kontakt using the keyboard is unique to the MkIII series

    What fo you mean?

You can just click on the library, a.k.a. the new K7 view, not the OG rack view that was used from K1 to K6...

Then you can search for any library you like...or am I missing something...

    Hi Milos,

Thanks for asking. I’m talking about clicking the browser button on the S49 keyboard itself and then scrolling through instruments and presets on the keyboard’s screens. I can do that if I set up the track as an instance of Komplete Kontrol, but I can’t seem to do that using Kontakt 7. That’s my question: is this possible with Kontakt 7?

I can access the libraries and instances of Kontakt 7 through my DAW on my computer just fine. (I’m using Logic.)

    The keyboard is a S49 Mk2.

Ah—rats! Thank you Kymeia for answering my question.

If I was running Native Instruments I’d make the new software backwards compatible if at all possible. I guess I bought the Mk2 at the very end of its product cycle.
