Problems setting it up

Hello, dear community. I am new in here and I bought my very first Maschine Mikro MK3. I tried to follow the steps on the website, but when I connect it with my laptop, all the buttons light up, the big ones in yellow and no sound or whatever when I open the software. Could it be my soundcard? I am really not very technical head in here. I would be very grateful for any hint and support! Greetings!
