X1 MK 3 Output Routing Issues

I got myself the new X1 and I am trying to output the audio from my built-in speakers from my MAC, however, it doesn't work. The audio only works when I set the output routing to external instead of internal. When I set the output routing to external the EQs do not work. How can solve this problem?
