That price is way too low. IMO there’s something fishy about this deal.

The last 10 units sold on ebay went for around 600$, so 300$ is a great deal, I'd buy it even if I only used standalone once in a while. At that price, it's worth it for the better knobs alone... Especially if you sell your MK3 for about 200$, then it's 100$ for an M+.

You might have that impression because for those where everything works they don't tend to come to the forum just to say "it works fine". The latest issue doesn't seem to affect a lot of people, I think it's only those who performed a system reset, which results in the 'can't load' bug.

Thanks @D-One This is helpful. However, I imagine the seller has/will system reset before passing off to me so I’m still a little concerned I’ll run into setup/update issues. But, I’m also justifying the purchase in my mind with the price. As you mentioned, I feel confident in the worse case someone less frustrated with dealing with NI (as I am) would surely take it off my hands for the $300 I’m paying for it. Don’t really care to make money off it. Just don’t want to lose money on it.

No prob. I guess so, but the bug was apparently fixed in 1.5.1, 2 days ago.

Just be extra careful because that deal sounds a bit too good to be true, try to make sure that unit is in good condition and working properly, or buy it in a place where it's possible to return in case it cames with something broken.

Yo, imagine this forum as an E.R. Only the sick come in. The rest of the population are healthy and prosperous. Mine is working perfectly, with original sd card, I love it to death.

Yeah it’s always possible that it’s damaged however if you’re familiar with the reseller market in LA, ATL, NY or Mia that I’m local to, you’d know that super low gear prices are common. Especially for NI gear. It’s all dirt cheap now. $300 is the lowest I’ve seen yet for plus by $100, but I’m not surprised

It’s a lady seller that has it listed incorrectly and mispelled Maschine so no one can find it to make offers so she’s reduced it every week for 2 months. Clearly doesn’t know what she’s selling either. Likely belonged to an ex. Probably just getting rid of his ****** lmao. She also lives in a section of town where it’s clear she doesn’t need the money at all.

It’s been years so I can’t remember the Plus set up process but I feel like it took awhile. Not sure I’ll have the opportunity to go thru all the steps to test so I guess I have to hope for the best.

The pics tell a tale of non use. It’s super dusty but I did ask for pics of it powered on which she obliged. Also says she will transfer license when I arrive to check it out.

i wish there was a quick software to test the HW/Sw like when you buy/sell an iPhone.

Just bring your laptop and connect it only by usb cable (not the power supply), that takes it straight into controller mode

Oh... Hum. @djadidai's ideia is pretty good. I'd do that too.

She should ask for a transfer before the deal.

When you ask for a transfer (thru the automated process https://www.native-instruments.com/en/my-account/license-transfer/request-for-transfer/) it can take a while, 20min or 3 days... when it's ready the seller receives a transfer ID, if she has this ready for you (or any other buyer) it makes things easier... When a transfer ID is ready things don't leave the seller account until you/buyer actually put the ID into your NA account. At least this is how it works for the Mas controllers and KKS, so should be the same for M+.

I'd test things with her account still on the M+ and reset later, this way you can test more things and not go thru endless install times. The M+ is reeeeally slow to install things....

I'm unable to recreate the crash, using any of your Reaktor Ensembles (OTT, R6 filters). But I also cannot hear how the sidechain input affects the effect. Any hints on what to look for?

The sidechain input is only implemented into the ensemble in the R6C compressor ensemble, at least on the ensembles I've "ported"

If the sidechain selector works in other ensembles, it is probable that those ensembles do not internally have inputs 3-4 connected to anything in the patch to begin with
