Maschine not exporting audio properly

Since i updated Maschine (around the update that changed the app icon), exports don't seem to work consistently anymore. No matter if i use the drag-to-export-audio icon or the export dialogue (groups or sounds behave the same way concerning this issue), the resulting audio is faulty.

As an example, i export a sound / group that has just one long note playing. i append this pattern to the timeline TWICE, so it should be two times the same audio.

the result is this though:

the second half is fine, but the first half is exported as if the midi was just a short hit instead of a long note. i can work around by adding a "throwaway scene" at the beginning of the export but thats just annoying and shouldn't be necessary.

Things like that has happened to me when RAM size was not sufficient and memory had to swap.... But it was with big projects.....

Go to File>Export and turn enable Loop Optimize (this affects drag and drop), this will fix it.

What you are seeing is the tail/release of the 2nd note at the start of the sample.

Usually the behavior from I remember is not quite like this when loop optimize is off and it tries to preserve fx tails and/or instrument long release, maybe it's a bug or it depends on certain conditions. I'll run more tests next year to check if I should report this as a bug.

in the meantime... Happy NYE! :)

thank you, that does indeed fix it for the dnd method, that's already something! it's definitely a new behavior though, i've been starting having this problem not too long ago.

    happy 2024 to you!
