Be careful what you discuss: if they don’t like it, they’ll simply close the discussion…

Yes: NI changed. They are not anymore the ones not interacting with forum. Now they even decide what we can discuss….

And not by administrators or moderators: now Product Team members take decisions not only for our products, but also on forum topics

See “Komplete Kontrol S series MK1 keyboards End Of Life” as an example.

Probably having a topic like this one discussed and therefore continuously under user’s eye wasn’t good for their “new image”…

To be fair, who wants to try and read through a 45 page forum thread to find a solution to an issue they're having? It wasn't deleted, so people can still search for content and find it.

Sometimes threads just get so off-topic that they need closing, or there's nothing really new or helpful being added. Closing them is often a good idea so people post new questions. But as you say, different opinions!

Exactly what I was about to comment, it's standard moderation and not some sort of PR conspiracy. We're talking about a 45 pages long thread that went off topic like 27 times.

As was clearly stated in the discussions I recently had to close, they veered wildly off topic. This thread will also be closed. It is unhelpful, and defamatory, and continues the very pattern that caused us to have to shut down earlier threads.

I have zero interest in users sniping at one another in the depths of a discussion thread that no longer has anything to do with the original point of the thread. If users wish to discuss the products, they continue to be free to do so.

@LostInFoundation you're being deliberately provocative and untruthful, which is rather a shame. It belies the contributions you've had until this point in time.
