This has happened twice now. Once with a Puremagnetik VI - they didn't know why, but blamed Kontakt [not unreasonably]

And now with the lovely PS freebie: str Solo Violin Legato

Kontakt only loads the elements outlined in the setup file for each library. So, best to first check the library properly installed by looking in its folder, check requirements, etc. A buggy sample library or improper install does not mean a bug with Kontakt itself.
