Is it possible to play multiple sounds, each on a different step length?

for example, bass on 15 steps, melody on 12 steps and another sound on 10 steps. So they all change over time.

is that at all possible?

Do you mean to change the instrument for each 10, 12 or 15 steps?

If you mean that, you can use automation or MIDI learn for that.

3 different instruments, all playing different step lengths. All playing at the same time. I believe it’s called polymeter.

Well, if you really mean to play all instruments at the same time, while playing a different midi and audio channels at the same time, it is rather a bit complicated from my perspective, since i use Kontakt for playing multiple synths but same notes.

But still, try new things and experiment.

You might find something incredible sounding harmonies!

I’m coming from the mpc, which does it super easy. I really thought this device would have that capability. So there’s no way to choose the last step on the step sequencer, apart from step 16 or multiples of 16?

Well, not really sure for this one tho.

Ask PoorFellow, he might help you a bit more.

I’ve just worked it out. Each bank can be played at a different length, which in turn creates polymeters. In pattern view, hold shift and change length.

    thanks anyway.
