How long will it be before we can see Mac OS Sonoma and Ableton compatibility

I recently had problems running on my new machine which came with Sonoma installed. I didn't try with Ableton, but with Logic Pro, I experienced crashes during the first minutes of opening up Kontakt, and when I viewed the instruments the UI of the display was completely messed up. I don't see many people talking about this, and I believe those who do, are saying that I should wait until the software is updated to work with Sonoma.

My question is, how long will I need to wait, and also will all instruments be updated, or will it just be some, and I won't be able to find out which unless I try them all for myself.

I'd really love to see something to indicate compatibility, as if some, but not all of the instruments work, then how is anyone to know in advance which will and which won't?

Anyone care to come forward with an expected date/month/qtr/year, for compatibility?

What’s not working for you? I had a few minor but irritating problems with Komplete Kontrol 3 and the 14.1 update but 14 itself worked fine and now we are on 14.1.1 KK is working fine again.

We aim to introduce Sonoma support to a few more products by the end of this year. But in general, all the current products in Komplete 14 should be compatible with Sonoma.

@Kaiwan_NI Just purchased Komplete 14 Standard. I understand that many of the current products should be compatible with Sonoma, but I am unable to install them with Native Access. When do you expect Native Access to be compatible?

I would expect Komplete Kontrol 3 to see full Sonoma compatibility in very early 2024

I have a Komplete Kontrol S61 Mk2 which is not compatible with iOS Sanoma 14.2.1. My Steinberg UR22C interface is also not compatible using Cubase Pro 13 (or 12). It would be useful to know by when Native Instruments are able to confirm compliance with Sanoma.

Buying a MacBook Pro M3 was a new experience for me having been a PC user from the DOS days. However, if compliance is not possible by the time Dell releases the XPS 16 showcased at CES 2024, I'll be selling the Mac and going back to the tried and trusted Windows platform with a Dell PC. My own fault for not waiting for Dell I guess - time will tell.

Following on from my comment above, I’ve since purchased a Focusrite interface, connected my Korg Krome EX to my setup and put my S61 Mk2 into storage. Hopefully later in the year, my S61 will be compatible with Sanoma and I can use it again.

Komplete Kontrol works OK on Sonoma except for a couple of bugs (the only major one being in Logic not Live)

Komplete Kontrol displays a black screen on 3rd party plugins on Sonoma using Ableton Live Beta 12. Doesn't seem to be an issue with the current version of Ableton Live 11.

I also experience parameter jumps after changing plugin presets in Komplete Kontrol and turning the knobs on the S61 Mk3. If the plugin has a parameter set at 0, moving the knob causes the value to instantly jump to 60 making it really hard to use for anything. This happens on NI and 3rd party plug-ins. I'm hoping Sonoma compatibility fixes this.

That’s a new one, have you reported it to Ableton? Sounds like they have changed something

there is a longstanding issue in Live on Windows but I suspect this is not the same and may be more related to the current issues in Logic on Sonoma for which a fix is in the works

Please make Maschine software compatible with Sonoma

Nothing works for me either. Needed a new Mac because my old one died. Now, with Sonoma 14.3.1, only Logic actually works. Ableton struggles with audio recording. My tried and tested master keyboard, an S61, doesn't want to work with Komplete Kontrol, Logic or Ableton. Everything is up to date with the latest firmware and software.

Please, Native instruments, do something. Make it compatible with Sonoma.

    Danke!

If it’s a MkI that won’t be compatible with Komplete Kontrol even when does get Sonoma support unfortunately

I've been checking for a status update daily, but everything on the Maschine software is a mess. The sounds, synchronization, production, everything is wonky. To the point that I have stepped back from even trying to make music. Sucks with the amount of investment I've put into this company. I bought a new Mac to handle all the data and expansions, and yet cannot even make a simple beat. SMDH

Just filed bug reports on Centercode for both issues. Neither one is happening in the latest version of Live 11.
