Batch resave in K6 even though using K7?
Hi.
I would like to perform a batch resave because I have moved my libraries to a new, external SSD.
I have Kontakt 6 and 7 installed.
I have many older projects using Kontakt 6 patches.
I can do the batch resave in K6 or K7. I understand that if I use K7 to do this, I will lose backward compatibility. But: is there any performance advantage to doing the batch resave in K7?
To put the question a different way, is there a reason not to always use the oldest version of Kontakt you have on the system to perform the batch resave? If there is a performance benefit to doing the batch resave in the newest version of Kontakt, I would like to understand what this is.

I would say if you want to maintain backwards compatibility with Kontakt 6 do the batch resave there. Afaik the batch resave tech has not been substantially changed enough to affect performance in K7 and you clearly don't want to lose the flexibility to work sometimes in K6 so do what works best for you

Well, from my experience, there is no performance advantage, but also no disadvantage.
Performance will be the same.
