Start up screen in Kontakt 7

Hello,

When starting up Kontakt, it is showing the new dialog (the one with searchbar and Icons) I would rather have it by default start up in the classic view.

I must have changed something, which has caused this, but cannot find where to set it up.

/Lars

    @LarsA :

    I think I can answer your initial question now.

    Take a look at your Kontakt 7 (currently V7.7.0) „file / options…(f12) / interface“ tab. There you will find the option “Display fullscreen Browser when launching new Rack View” which seems to be most likely enabled in your case.

    I’m not sure if this was really intended by NI, but if you have ticked that option to be enabled, it doesn’t have an effect on the “RackView” only; in fact it will also make K7 from now opening up in „icon/preset/library“ mode at startup (and no longer using the „classic view”). In other words, if you want to revert back to the old application‘s behavior, you should uncheck this preferences option again.

    Really strange, because I would also have expected that two separate screen scenarios are covered in a better way when providing two different preferences settings for them in order to make more sense.

    I‘d also like to know where to change that setting in K7. Strange, because in my case it‘s quite the opposite situation: It always starts up in the classic way only. No such option seems to be available in the preferences, so how can this startup view be changed manually?
