New idea for Guitar Rig 7 effect!

I call this effect: MultiChannel

This effect has multiple independent channels for one track, you can set up from 3 to 8 of them. (A B C D E F G H)

This effect can be beneficial to those people that copy paste the same track multiple times so that they can put different effects on each one, which takes up so much memory for the DAW, when you can just use this plugin on only 1 track and put different effects through MultiChannel.

And of course, every independent channel has a Pan section.

But here is the difference-there is no X-fade feature.

Instead, every channel will have its own volume.

This effect belongs in the 'Tools' section and has a very similar layout and design like M/S Split, Crossover and Split Mix, just a bit darker

.

What do you think about this idea?

Sorry, I really don't understand what you are proposing here. Guitar Rig has two audio inputs (and two additional ones for side chain input). Are you proposing to add more input channels to Guitar Rig?

    Dear Eddie,

I'm just giving a concept. It would be epic if they created this plugin for guitar rig 7 pro.

But its ok if they don't want to...

Btw this image was created in Krita, it was just a concept I think could help people with huge DAW projects to save up a little bit of memory. I'm just sayin'.

I don't know how to program or make plugins though.

You can look at it as a 'fan idea'

We really appreciate the effort and welcome user input and ideas. It's just that I really don't understand how you envision this to work in Guitar Rig. That's why I was asking about the channel configuration. How is this supposed to work on just one channel of your DAW?

    Dear Eddie,

It has similar algorhythm like Split Mix plugin which has 2 independent channels, or 2 independent effect chains if you will, called A and B, but MultiChannel plugin can have from 3 up to 8 independent channels (A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H,), which can enrich the sound even more, plus, it is useful to those people that make huge projects and to those people that want to make incredibly creative effects with so many independent channels for one track, so that they don't have to copy-paste one track so many times, which takes up a good chunk of their memory for the DAW project.

I will give you an example:

When I wanted to make incredibly wide and enriching tone for the guitar track, I used Split Mix couple of times, so that I could have multiple independent channels for one track, for the sake of enriching, but then when i put certain effects for each Split Mix plugin, it sounded a bit ******.

That is when i realized that the A chain from one Split Mix is actually connected to the A chain from the other.

I had to copy-paste the same track few times and it took the good chunk of my memory space.

Here, try it for yourself if you don't believe me.

Add 2 Split Mix plugins below one another, put any kind of distortion on the A chain from the one Split Mix Plugin, and then put any kind of matched cabinet on the A chain from the other Split Mix plugin.

Now you know what I'm saying.

If you need the recording of that, please tell me and i will send it to you for couple of days.

    Have a nice day, Eddie.

It sounds to me like you are trying to set up multiple parallel paths (more than two) in Guitar Rig. That is already possible, but you have to nest the Splits inside each other and NOT put them one after the other.

This is how you do it for example for four different distortion pedals giving you four different flavours at the same time:

    You might be right.

I will try it and then I will give a feedback.

Thanks anyways and have a great day!

    It works!

    Big thank you!

Though it would be nice to have a similar concept, just like a Dirt distortion, where it has few distortions instead of one.

Same for my Multichannel concept- to have an easier way controlling multiple channels and have incredibly wide and creative tones.

    But thanks anyway!

    God bless you, Eddie!

Cool, glad I could help and you can already achieve what you want to with Guitar Rig.

And I agree, the nested split workflow is not ideal for your case and the multi channel concept would make things easier. I'll bring the idea to the team and let them discuss it. Thanks again for your input!

    Thanks, Eddie.

Btw, I have another idea, but this is for Kontakt 7.

I learned that you can put the effects into Kontakt instruments without the need for Guitar Rig, but i can't put the automation for these effects.

Can you help me on this, please?

No, sorry, for that you need to head over to the Kontakt part of this forum. But you can't put any effects into Kontakt, there are only the ones that are already built in. Some of which are the same as in Guitar Rig.
