Switching presets (instrument racks) from kontakt 5 and 6 to kontakt 7.

Hi all!

Instrument rack presets from each Kontakt instance can be saved and retrieved from another instance, but not from instances of different versions (Kontakt 5, 6, and 7, 32-bit and 64-bit).

I identified the respective folders where the presets are located and I tried to copy them from one folder to another, but when I try to load them into kontakt they do not appear in the list, only those that were already there remain visible.

Is there a way to convert these presets from one version to another so you can swap them between them?

Thanks

    Now I understand.

That's not a Kontakt preset, it belongs to your host program. And it will only load the version of Kontakt you saved it with.

So I guess the answer is no.

You could save your multi "wonk" and load it into a more recent version of Kontakt.

@zener44 I'm sorry but I don't really understand the issue, can you give more context on the issue? What do you mean by "instrument rack presets"? Maybe some screenshots can help.

Sometimes the newly added preset doesn't appear in the list at first. Try deleting the effect itself then reinstating it - all the presets should now appear. Certainly K4 presets can be transferred to K5 in this way.

I don't know the precise name (global preset?)
