Hi, newbie here, sorry for asking silly questions:

I have found 2 ways to get the drum kit into my pad sound. But I am not sure what is best practice:

1) have AR loaded on each of the 16 pads

or

2) having it loaded only on the first pad and connect it via the midi tab.

If I chose option 1 then i have several windows of abbey road drummer open (one for each of the 16 pads). And if I chose option 2) then I can only see the drummer window when pad 1 is hit.

what is the best way to do this? I try to learn fingerdrums and would like to see the drums while practicing.

Being Abbey road instruments and not expansions, they load on a single pad and then you can use keyboard mode of Maschine to play the single sounds. (There’s no need to route the other pads via midi tab). And the interface should be visible while you play

Loading it as you describe in point 1 could give you the only advantage of being able to add different fxs in Maschine, but every single pad should be playing the first sound, not the subsequent ones. Plus you are loading 16 instances of a plugin, which isn’t really cpu friendly

Hi, thank you very much. Yes, in keyboard mode the window remain open. But I was not able so far to change the location of the sounds. I want kick on 2 and 3 and snare on 6 and 7 and so on. Wasn't able to do it so far. On pad mode yes, but not on keyboard mode. Do you think it is possible?

If you follow the same order, you can always move in semitones to make the various sounds shift their place. But you can’t reorder.

Since you want to finger drum (and probably therefore have the sounds in determined positions more or less “reachable”) what you could do is create your own groups by resampling the sounds. But you’ll lose AR UI
