What's your setup? What is the encoder supposed to do exactly. What do you want to achieve as an end result?

    Opus Quad to control traktor.

Encoder (up/down) to move up/down tree

Encoder (turn) to move up/down list

Is that controller even compatible with Traktor? I thought it was standalone? How do you connect to Traktor? Do the controls send MIDI signals? Lots of ????. :)

Well it sends midi and I have 99% mapped and working.

It doesn't do standalone, they lied. It only functions when you use it with rekordbox.

Okay, looks like you only need to identify the assignments. These should do it:

    • 'Add In... ➔ Browser ➔ List ➔ Select Up/Down' for the Encoder Turn. Control: Encoder
    • 'Add In... ➔ Browser ➔ Tree ➔ Select Up/Down' for the Encoder Switch. Control: Button, Value: Up (for MIDI signal UP)
    • 'Add In... ➔ Browser ➔ Tree ➔ Select Up/Down' for the Encoder Switch. Control: Button, Value: Down (for MIDI signal DOWN)

    Thanks.

That doesn't work, unfortunately for me.

Viewing highlighted file in list then turning encoder one click caused me initially a page jump not a step as I had expected.

Immediately I thought the encoder was faulty or not a regular encoder.

Then I go on to discover I should have explained to you that I'm using a smart encoder, it has four regular encoders like those on the X1, and one smart encoder.

I have started trying adjustments with sensitivity, with limited success.

The best I have achieved is by reducing sensitivity down to around 50%. Then when turning the encoder right, it steps down the list two places. Turning left, steps up one place.

Smart Encoder to Navigate Traktor's Browser/List.

Encoder (up/down) to move up/down tree

Encoder (turn) to move up/down list

Is there some type of application outside of Traktor to adjust the Quad? Like Djtechtools has a separate application for the Midifighters.

The reason I ask is the encoders can be changed in the application to function differently. I forget the exact types. And then in Traktor the type of encoder also has a choice to match.

When I mapped my Midifighter Twister I had to choose the type in Traktor or else it didn't work correctly. Sorry it was 3m or 7m or something like that. When you choose relative instead of direct after choosing encoder as opposed to knob.

Sorry hope this makes some sense. Mapping is hard to convey in a forum.

    No application, no.

Yes 3m/7m option. I did try every conceivable combination over 2 days, brain turned to mush after each 45mins session.

I'm now thinking it may be a resolution issue, perhaps tweeked with a modifier?

I mean, post the current version so one can look into it and see what is causing issues.

Sorry, I've stopped using Traktor for the time being.

Arguing semantics with the shop of what constitutes Standalone, I noticed striking similarity with the DJM A9 and Quad.

I installed its driver and gained spectacular functionality when using Serato. So much so the shop after consulting whoever, agreed to give me a full refund.
