    "Do Apple power bricks work?"

I used an old 20W Apple power supply; probably from an old iPhone.

If you can read, it's pretty simple to determine the volts, watts and amps of the USB power supply to match those parameters as, by law, it must be printed on the wall plug. It's not printed on the box because it may not be needed if you use a Thunderbolt (or similar) port as they explain in their setup video link provided on your card. As for printing on the box, I only look for "batteries not included" when I'm shopping for toys at Christmas for the kids, not shopping for pro music gear. For those kind of things I watch the videos or read the directions.

Your keyboard should have come with a USB C cable, my colleague did get back to you offering you to send the cable. You might want to notify Guitar Center about that.

A phone charger will do the trick but you'll also need a cable for the data.

I just brought home an 18w power adapter and still getting low power. From what I gather on these forums, minimum 20w is what's required. It's so frustrating to get something like this home and want to play and you spend hours running back and forth trying to make it work. Unimpressed so far. But, man, the keyboard on the S88 sure feels sweet even if it's not making any sound. 😂

I get awfully tired of people like DunedinDragon going out of his way to treat others on the forum with hostility or by being patronizing. I have added him to my ignore list.

In the meantime, people need to stop defending NI on this. It is ridiculous. It was NOT adequately disclosed that you would not be able to power your brand new $1000 keyboard with the included USB-C cable and that you would need to provide your own power supply. Nor was it disclosed that it wouldn't work if you specifically tried to connect it with the included USB-C cable to a Mac thunderbolt port. These are all things that people had to figure out for themselves, because there was woefully inadequate disclosure or support for these issues when the product launched. Just stop this nonsense of trying to defend it. Most of us purchased our brand new $1000 NI keyboard throughout conventional means, like Sweetwater, Perfect Circuit, etc, and there was ZERO awareness amongst the sales staff of these retailers about this issue, because NI had not disclosed it appropropirately or adequately. Sweetwater's sales associates are simply the best in the business, and they had no idea.

I have mostly moved on. But, when I see offensive and condescending posts by NI apologists like DunedinDragon try to make people feel stupid for simply not knowing something that they really had no business even questioning, it gets my blood boiling.
