Location preferences don't work anymore

It doesn't work anymore but I don't find why. I'm new on Mac, I'm from Windows. Can anyone help me ? Thanks !

    @Tankei Unfortunately ExFat will not work properly, you really need to format the drive to APFS. Unfortunately that means another drive if you want to use the products on both Windows and Mac.

    @Tankei The Application location should stay on your suystem's drive. You say "it doesn't work anymore", you mean you installed the applications on your external hard drive and it used to work?

    What's the format of that drive? On Mac, it should be APFS: Notes on Hard Drive Formats on Mac Computers

    Hello @Jeremy_NI, thank you for your answer.

    I finally found the problem thanks to you. It is due to the Hard Drive Format. It is currently in NTFS because I downloaded NI applications with my Windows machine. So now, I need to format my hard drive to be compatible with both. ExFAT seems to be the best choice, isn't it ?
