"I would appreciate it if you are in this thread to tell us what to do with our investments then do not participate anymore"

It's a public forum and I can participate in any thread until NI says otherwise.

If you do not like (or cannot handle or expect) pushback on your post (in a public forum):

    1. Do not post in public forums.
    2. Get a backbone and accept that some folks simply will not agree with you and that is their prerogative.
    3. Ignore any responses that do not fit your "agenda".

But the real (legit) question on your post remains:

What exactly do you expect NI is going to do - replace all your stuff because you don't like it?

The S-series MK2 ran into a conceptual choke point that made efforts to push it into the future just a deepening of a misstep.

The MK2 keyboards have many positive qualities to be enjoyed, but NI was painted into a developmental corner by some decisions made years ago.

Been kicking aspects of this issue around in the last NI forum and in the this new one too for some time now:

+100. This is all that really needs to be said. Fair, logical and right on point.

All things in this space (DAW/Recording/Software) change so fast and morph over time - some become better, others not so much.

I recognized that my S61 MKII - which I bought in the Fall of 2020 - was already wayyyy behind when I got it and I knew that outside of Komplete Kontrol software updates (or perhaps a firmware update here and there - which never came) it might have a chance at being better, but I never let that stop me from enjoying it.

And neither will the introduction of the MKIII.

While I agree that it would be nice if people annoyed by the lights could turn them off then the lights never bothered me.

And while I am sure that complaining is really nice to do then after reading your post it took me less than 5 minutes to dim most of the light on my keyboard (see picture) : https://i.imgur.com/ZCwgUbv.jpg (sorry for the dust on the keyboard 😁)

There is a really nice sort of groove behind the black keys on the keyboard so all you need is a narrow strip of thin cardboard or thick paper bent in an around 90 degrees angle. It will then rest behind the black keys by itself and create no problem even when playing the keyboard. My strip had a total width or not much more than 2.5 centimeters / 1 inch. It's that easy and took me less than 5 minutes to both cut and bend because I had the right piece of cardboard in my cardboard recycling sack ! Since it were only for demo purpose then my cardboard piece only covers 20 keys but you ought to get the idea !

Thanks for your idea, I have a trick that is a little simpler, you open Komplete, when it loads, you load your instrument, and you enter the configuration menu, at that moment the lights turn off, let that happen, and with the scales some keys If they turn off, it might make me think that they really haven't put this simple function in place because Native Instruments doesn't want to, we're not asking them to go to Mars.

    English version

I have placed a red flag on vocalpoint because I consider that you are not really interested in the thread and communicating with these types of people distracts us from what really interests us, which is why I went to the ignore option.

I would like to get several users to join together virtually to be truly heard by native instruments, something more formal than sending an email, I know it is difficult but I know some audio forums and maybe with some luck there I can gather a few people .

Hmm, many NI defenders in this thread, not really surprising.

Komplete Kontrol in its present form is an abomination of a software (not talking about new version). Lack of HiDPI mode, lack of FX chains, lack of window resize, functions in software which should have been available in hardware from day one (scales, chords, midi templates editing - there are two huge screens, why not to use them). NI's philosophy here was to tie user to KK software and NKS ecosystem completely.

Funnily enough, there are at least 3 lines of midi controllers from different manufacturers, which have scales and chords and arps and integration with most DAWs onboard (in hardware and standalone), both via midi DIN and via USB. All of them are cheaper than respective models of KK Mk2, so it is certainly doable...

I had KK61 Mk2 and was using Maschine Software as my DAW for a while (as I came back to making music after more than 20 years hiatus and simple stuff was good for me at the beginning). I loved the combined system (KK61 Mk2 and the Maschine software plus integration buttons on the keyboard). At least Maschine window could have been made full screen - I stopped using KK software very quickly.

Ironically, Maschine software integration is gone from Mk3 keyboards :)

NKS was not what I wanted it to be and buying preset maps from Mr Jester (amazing service, btw.) for all the virtual synths which were not getting along with NI's NKS ideas quickly became tedious.

I sold the keyboard and stopped using Maschine as my DAW. I use it now as a drum plugin in Logic Pro X (as I have nearly 60 expansions and I still want to use those in my music). I've bought one of above mentioned keyboards and can use scales, chords and arps and DAW integration in ANY software without intermediate clunky apps.

KK software and MK2 keyboards (and Mk3 Maschine hardware) are dead products, IMHO. NI will maintain compatibility for some time and then they will move on. I've already moved on...

Short version: I would not count to achieve much, my friend. I agree with you 100%.

Hate to burst your bubble there but many of us have been asking for SIMPLE changes and updates, even just to the software and what they have done is basically take everything we have said for 10 years, put it all together then thrown that out the window and instead redesigned all the software taking into account none of what has been asked for. Many of us have kind of given up expecting things to change and evolve beyond what we have and instead just make do with what can be done.

Hello, don't burst my bubble, I didn't say it would be easy, what I'm saying is first group all the users who agree with our point of view, and then we make collective decisions, 10 people are stronger than one, my impulse is because it is time to stop the abuse of many of these companies against users, a truth is many grains of sand, it sounds unreal but many things that seemed impossible to humans have been achieved.

Hello everyone, for 2 months I have been asking for technical support from Native Instruments, and they have terrible customer service, they ask for videos, then they say that they cannot see them, and they ask to upload them to a platform in which the videos are deleted every two days, So I have had to send the same one several times, apparently the s88mk2 series comes with a manufacturing problem in the part in charge of the sustain functions, and they have remained silent about that very small detail, they told me to buy a compatible pedal according to them , I bought it and it didn't work, I feel like they don't read my messages, I feel like they don't take me seriously and in general I think that the customer who already bought the product is worth 10 miles of garbage

Sustain works well with my S88 MK2, so it's rather not a general problem. As for the customer service, that's another story.

I think it's great that your device works well, I can't say the same.
