Kontakt 6 VST3 malfunctions but the VST version works fine?

With Kontakt 6 you can install both VST and VST3 version.

I installed both, but in my DAW (REAPER) and also as standalone the VST3 version malfunctions despite identical settings with the VST version. All the notes I play get stuck and sustain infinitely. It can't be used at all. VST version works fine.

Is this a known glitch with Kontakt 6?

    it's not a known bug to my knowledge. Can you give a bit more details, your os and your computer. Also check the versiions, with going to help and about.

    Windows 10 Pro 22H2 (latest)

    HP Elitedesk 800 4G Workstation with Intel Core i7 8700

    Kontakt 6 VST2 and VST3 both indicated as v6.8.0 (R0)

    Thanks, but I have seen that thread already given I have been active on the REAPER forum for many years. The problem they are referring to is RANDOM hanging notes. The problem I am having with the VST3 version of Kontakt 6 is ALL notes played are sustaining, as if I have a sustain pedal stuck on (which is not the case).
