How to rec external synth without cutting the sound decay like a pad

I figured out how to do it in MPC but that doesn't work in Maschine

    Hi.

I would say the easiest way for me is to use autosampler. Just select the note region you want to play.

You can choose a loop in your pad and have a decay if you choose a long enough sample time.

I see... but I already have the midi rec in Maschine and I just want to print that to audio...I know how to do that but not without the loop losing its decay.

In MPC I just extended the seq when I print then turn snap to zero on and auto chop to bpm delete the extra slices markers on the end and convert change the seq back the right length and everything good the last slice plays all the way out as long as poly is at least 2... haven't found a way to replicate that on Maschine

If recording in the arranger mode:

Create a new, empty section. Place it after the section you want to record. Make sure it's longer than your tail. Record using the sync/free.

Put the play head at the start of the section to you want to record, turn off loop, hit start and then play. Manually stop the recording once the tail is done.

Once done; delete the new section you created. This is pretty straight forward; you're just adding space to record the tail instead of expecting the maschine software to handle it for you.

If recording in the ideas view:

Just extend your pattern. So if you have a 4 bar loop with a 4 bar tail; just extend the pattern to 8+ bars and record it. Once done, set it back to 4 bars.

I prefer using the arranger view.

I'd just dupe the pattern and add a bunch of space in between notes, enought space for the decay/release or fx tails to fadeout then resample that to slice.
