"Your comment will appear after it is approved"

Look, it's totally cool if you guys want to moderate the forum and approve posts before they go online. But you have to put something larger and more prominent to let the user know, than a tiny little notice at the bottom left that says "Your comment will appear after it is approved".

I entered a reply to a thread I believe I had started, and after clicking the post button, I see my draft disappear but it's not posted. So I try a couple more times, and same thing.

Then I log in with another browser, thinking it might be a cache or browser problem, but same thing. I think "better try later". But later the same thing again and again.

Finally I see a tiny tiny box at the very left bottom of the browser:

Come on guys, you can do better than this.

    Yes! Very much this.

    I also did not notice it the first couple of times. Also you don't know if it gets approved or not.

    @ProfessorChaos Where did you post and which one of your comment ended up in our moderation inbox?

    This is triggered usually if there is external links or our anti-spam module gets ticked off. It would just take for one of the mod/admin to check and approve. The notification is a a bit wacky and we'll tell our provider to see if they can make it a bit more obvious / notify folks when it happens but we only get a handful a week.

    It also happens when you used filtered words.

    True but these words should not be in the community anyway so your post would likely be removed. Let me know if you see words triggering that rule that you think don't need to be on the list though

    Like ProfessorChaos said, it's not about the moderation, it's that you don't notice it and start writing the same message again.

    Now that I got you here, linking with preview to https://support.native-instruments.com/ has never worked. It comes up with an error message.

    <newline>

    [..]support.native[..]<enter>

    Other link work fine.

    I swear this was fixed at some point. I added it to our backlog and we will get it sorted. Thank you for letting me know.

    Nah, many links to NI resources have always come up with that error. Usually have to hold SHIFT + Enter to keep it in paragraph and not trigger it to auto-resolve the URL.
