Maschine+ freezes/crashes with external midi keyboard?

I bought the Maschine+ the month it came out, had really high expectations to use it along with an external midi keyboard but unfortunately it has never worked for me.

I use an USB cable to connect the M+ to my keyboard and select the corresponding device in the midi settings page. Everything works well for just a few minutes when it freezes/crashes all of a sudden. I tried multiple keyboard/controllers by Arturia/Novation/M-Audio but all of them had the same issue. Been waiting on software updates to try to fix the issue but I am starting to suspect that I got screwed on this one.

Does this happen to anyone else?

You're on old firmware. Not sure if it will fix it, but worth a shot. Firmware updates aren't "over the air". You have to download from the support site.

I had issues with it hanging when I tried using an old m-audio keystation. I'm not sure if updates fixed it or if switching to a new USB cable fixed it; but I don't see the issue any longer.
