Play own melodies within Session Guitarist?

Hey there.

I do like the sound of "Session Guitarist Electric Sunburst" a lot.. But I find it annoying, that I can only play patterns within the plugin:

Is there a way "to play the guitar" using only simple midi notes, like I would do when I play piano? So without having to use the predefined patterns.

It comes with a second instrument for melodic playing - just like e.g. Electric Mint.

Same issue with Electric Mint, Electric Sunburst, Strummed Acoustic. I can't play melodies. We need to buy the same plugins 2 times buy Native Instruments. It's not normal. The pattern normally are bonus because if I want an instrument the basic is to have the ability to play melodies. If you sell me just pattern it's like selling me loops not a VST. No good Native Instruments

So just to be clear Ace of Discal - are you saying using Kontakt 7 will allow melody for all the session guitarist plugs (non deluxe) ? Or just Electric Mint and Vintage for example ?
