Problem With Kontakt Sound

Hello, two weeks ago I bought the KOMPLETE 14 package and still can't get it to work properly.

The problem is that when I use Kontakt with my Yamaha Piaggero NP32 keyboard (with driver installed) the sound is very low and of poor quality.

However, when I use the "PC Keyboard" or the on-screen mouse it sounds fine.

The VINTAGE ORGANS library also sounds good (Maybe it's because it doesn't have TOUCH SENSITIVITY?)

I have tried with two different Yamaha keyboards, with two different PCs (one of them new) and with three USB/HOST cables and the same thing always happens and I don't know what else I can do.

I look forward to your advice and suggestions. Thanks.

@Jose Iranzo I would definitely recommend contacting Yamaha about this and show them the readings of MIDI OX, they should be able to troubleshoot. You could also try on another computer.

Hey @Jose Iranzo Check your keyboards velocity settings, this will affect which samples are triggered and at what volume.

    Thank you very much Jeremy,

I have tried the four Touch sensitivity settings: fixed, hard, medium and soft on my keyboard and the problem persists.

So, to be clear, if you click on the blue keys here, the sound is Ok

But when yoiu press the keys of the Yamaha keyboard it sounds lower, can you post screenshots of your MIDI preferences in Kontakt?

Can you check the midi activity of your keyboard? How to Monitor the Input of a MIDI Controller Does it go all the way until 127?

It looks like your keyboard doesn't send the full velocity range, maximum seems to be 90 (5A in hexadecimal in DATA 2 row). Normal highest velocity should be 127 (7F). You should definiltely check the velocity settings of your keyboard again.

I have already tried all the velocity settings of my keyboard and, even if I hit the keys really hard, it only reaches half the volume of the keyboard on the PC screen.

Is this normal on some keyboards?

No it's not normal, you really should check the manual for your keyboard and contact their support.

I expect you're just not hitting the keyboard hard enough. When you say "really hard" what does it say in the DATA2 column of your MIDIOX test? When you click the bottom of the Kontakt keyboard it will send 7F (127, the maximum). In the test you showed us, the highest value was 6A (106), most were much lower.

If you want a high velocity without banging the keyboard so hard, try a velocity booster. There's a Change Velocity script in the Factory Library (which is not ideal), or you could put in a Modulation Shaper where volume is modulated by velocity in the Amplifier Module, or you could write a simple multiscript. (We could do that for you if you wanted.)

Hello, today I have tried with a better quality USB cable, I have also executed the Factory Reset of my keyboard, and the problem persists.

I'm new to Kontakt and I thought it would be easier (I don't even know what a SCRIPT is)

I thought about buying an M-Audio Midi Controller, because with my Yamaha keyboard I have reached the limit of tests.

Sorry if my explanations sound a bit strange, I'm Spanish and I don't speak English. Thanks.
