edited October 2024 in Battery 4

Hello I am a blind User. What can I control on battery 4 using the komplete kontrol a25? Is it possible to play a sample in different pitch using the keyboard? Do I have to use the mouse to activate this function? Would be great if Native instruments continue to follow the nks standard. I am really depending on this standard to use it with the accessibility function.

So, I am ready to rock, I bought a maschine mk3 kontroller. As soon as the accessibility features gets released I can start.

@Daniele Unfortunately Battery 4 does not have automatic mapped controls like our other products. To play a sample in diffrent pitches would require to open the edit view of Battery in Komplete Kontrol, navigate to the sample cell, the setup page and click on the keytrack button. So in your case it's probably not optimal. Maybe you will need to check other NKS libraries or plug-ins, like Konkrete from SonicCouture for example:

I would have advised to try Maschine Essentials but unfortunately, with the A series keyboards the accessibility features in the Maschine software is very very limited.

    Thank you.

Wich small kontroller is usable for accessibility with maschine?

I was not able to get any accessibility working using the komplete kontrol a25.

    Thank you

@Daniele Unfortunately there are no accessibility features on smaller controllers or they are very limited (because they don't have so many physical controllers available). You have full on accessibility with a S series keyboard for the Maschine software and full accessibility is coming in the coming weeks for the Maschine MK3 device.

To give you an idea what's possible with the S series and Maschine, here is a link to the pdf:

I'm not trying to sell you anything here, I hope it doesn't sound like that! I just wanted to give all the information I have.

On a side note, KK Access is a fantastic resource that contains tutorials and Accessibility-focussed reviews on third party plug-ins. There is also a community of users associated with this group who regularly assist one-another, and are welcoming to new joiners. It’s worth emailing komplete-kontrol-access@googlegroups.com and asking to be added

this user group would probably have more insights on your initial request.

    Thank you.

So you are saying, that I could buy maschine mk3 and there will be accessibility without having a s-serie keyboard? that would be cool!

    Thank you again.

I have just subscribed to the kk access group.

    Regards

Hey @Daniele There will be accessibility for the Maschine software yes! The best is to wait a little and see what it offers for real.
