All of the sudden the songs I put in preview are running fast. Does anyone know what is happening or how I can fix it?

I've seen a similar scenario occur on a mates set up after they encoded files using Audacity at a bit-rate other than 44100Hz although the result was slower (the sound was stretched out).
Have you just recently encoded the file you are experiencing problems with?
If so, what app did you use?
Try using a file that works for everyone and let me know how you go.
