Using Komplete Kontrol S61 with Machine Mikro

I'm trying to use the KK S61 with Machine Mikro; everything seems to be set up. However, the keys on the KK S61 do not trigger and provide sound. I must be missing something in the preferences/settings for one of the units. Have tried multiple changes, with no luck. Has anyone had this same issue? Thank you in advance to anyone who may be able to help. All studio work has come to a complete halt, till I get this worked out...

    No one else around so I'll try...

    If you have the Maschine software installed I think that may be the most intuitive and easiest way to get started. I think it's more plug and play than anything.

    Which ever DAW you're using, I think Maschine contoller has to be in midi mode.

    SHIFT + PROJECT button

    Check the maunual.

    To clarify, I was referring to 'Maschine Essentials' software, in case there was any confusion.

    @DonR Where is this happening in the Maschine standalone software? Did you select the keyboard as a MIDI input in your MIDI preferences?
