How do I create my own phrases in Action Strings Pro 2?
I recently upgraded to the latest Ultimate and I’m exploring some of the libraries.
The Session Strings Pro 2 is great fun but I have zero interest in using the phrases that come with it for my own songs. I couldn’t see anything inside the instrument for creating my own phrases but obviously there must be some mechanism to do it, otherwise there wouldn’t be any phrases there at all.
Is there a special tool, perhaps something in conjunction with exporting MIDI from a DAW?

Hello,
have you tried to use the rhythm animator, you can do lot´s of stuff there and create your own patterns\phrases

Yes but as far as I can tell, that only lets me adjust properties of an existing pattern…e.g., velocities, etc….but there doesn’t seem to be a way to actually change or create your own notes

No you can do a lot more, I'm not at my PC right now, but the patterns have also a number on top over every note, 1 to 6 you can set a different play style for every note. Maybe if you describe a bit more what exactly you want to do i can later have a look.

I want to change the actual **notes**

So then play the instrument in your DAW the same way you would any other synth. Using split chord or not.

MHH OK then i don't understand - i can play a chord and it plays that chord, i play a single note, it plays the single note. But like i said i will have a look later.

OK - take a look at this image --- I can select a beat (the third one in this example) and then select a figure from the list below. But I want to be able to create my own, not just select from somebody else's list

I can´t find it in the manual and also not in session strings pro, can you show me how you reach this window?

exactly that´s what i meant with my first post, here you can set for every step a acc, pizzicato and what not, but his picture looks totally different!? I can´t find this exact setting.

OK 😀 I missed that one. The fact that the conversation continued this long made me assume that it didn't get mentioned.
I think the point got hammered home now.

I'm terribly sorry - I mistyped the instrument at the beginning of this post -- I did not mean to say Session Strings, I meant Action Strings ---- my apologies for the confusion.
My question stands.

No problem, happens to me too - but you have the exact point in the manual. But now it's action strings.

Ok then i will download that and have a look, but you maybe could use session strings (pro/2)

I use session strings Pro -- it's great for just playing -- but Action Strings has some terrific "animated" stuff in it that I'd like to leverage - but I don't want to just use the "prepackaged" stuff - I'd like to create my own.
