Controller not recognized

Hi,
I have a traktor kontrol s4 hw which I used to connect to my laptop Mac and it's not functioning anymore
My operating system is MacOs Mojave 10.14.6
I managed to download the software (Traktor DJ 2) but when I connect the hardware they do not talk to each other and the only light coming on on the hardware is the USB symbol on top of the MASTER

The old mk1 hardware is not supported anymore on modern Mac OS. https://support.native-instruments.com/hc/en-us/articles/360014900358-Compatibility-of-Native-Instruments-Products-on-macOS
For Mac os 10.14 you might get the workaround working: https://support.native-instruments.com/hc/articles/360000334278
