    Updating the thread here. Cubase does allow migration from previous versions of Kontakt to Kontakt 7. Kontakt 7 instances will load if previous versions are not found on the computer or in the Cubase VST folders.

    Thank you, this is good news! I have Kontakt 5 (vst 2.4) and Kontakt 6 (vst3) installed. Is it enough to delete (or rename) the corresponding dll (K5) and vst3 (K6) files, or do I need to totally uninstall both?

    @JoNee I would first try by only removing the files from the Cubase VST folders (both K5 vst 2 and K6 vst3), keep those at hand, better safe than sorry!

    Sadly that doesn't work in Pro Tools.
