Export/import of multis
I have been using Kontakt 6 VST3 for a while and I'd like to switch to Kontakt 8. The issue is that I have a bunch of very detailed multis that I have set up and and use frequently and I like to export them to Kontakt 8 (or import in Kontakt 8 from 6.) Is there a way to do this?
(I noticed that In Kontakt 6 under "Non-Player content base path" there is an option that says "Store paths refered to in host project relative to Non-layer content base path." What does that mean (if selected or unselected?) and is that relevant since its note covered in the user guide.)
I have the full versions of Kontakt 6, 7, and 8.

Multis have a number of advantages for saving your work in Kontakt.
They save all the settings of all the instruments, together with all the Master settings and Output settings.
You can load a multi into any version of Kontakt that is at least as recent as the one it was saved in.
So no need to "import" it, just load it in.

You can load them 3 ways:
- Via the file menu/load
- Via the Quick Load browser - just drag in your folder/s where multis are stored (there is a specific tab for multis in the Quick Load Browser)
- Via the file browser
The latter 2 options require being in classic view

I guess the issue is then "How do I find my Kontakt 6 multi in Kontakt 8?" Where are they stored. Kontakt 8 just has "New" available.

Wherever you saved them, you said you had a bunch of detailed multis setup, if you don't know where you saved them to maybe try a filename search?

You first have to save them in Kontakt. As nkm files. "Save multi as…"
Guess we thought you'd already done that.
