Of Kontakt Humanize
Hello everyone. Can anyone tell me what the reason is? In Kontakt 8, for example, in the Noir library, I made a midi part, all the velocities were aligned. But with each playback or export. the tones sound different, when quieter, when very loud. As if slightly different samples are used each time. Is there something like humanize in Kontakt 8? And how do I turn it off? Thank you.

Hello everyone once again. In general, I found the reason, and I am ashamed that I could not figure it out for a month already..... The reason was in the variation sliders in Ableton. Previously, I edited the errors of the velocity by dragging, but I saw the slider and did not delve into its essence, thinking that this was a velocity adjustment. Opening the hint, I read that these are sliders for speed randomization options. Because of this, with each playback, some notes were played at different speeds. Thank you all very much for your help and for responding to my question.πππ

Hey @Mega Jay There are humanize functions but nothing of what you seem to experience. It should be played back as you recorded it every time. There must be something else going on here. Some more context would help here, like your operating system, in what DAW is this happening? What keyboard/controller you're using, etcβ¦

Hello,
does it happen with sounds with the particle engine activated?

Thanks for the answer. My DAW is Ableton 12. and the keyboard is Arturia keylab essential mk3.

Thanks for the reply. No particle engine is not enabled.

And also, can you reproduce the issue if the keyboard is not connected? Is the playback identical then? Are there any automation lines written in your Ableton clips?

I would also like to clarify. The note is quieter or louder not in the sense of just volume, but as if the same note is playing, but a slightly different sample, slightly different in dynamics.

Could you maybe provide a small project where you can reproduce the issue and post it here? Maybe a video of the issue + audio files?

I tried a bit around with some chords and clicked trough noire presets and all sounded the same if played twice. In my main daw, cubase 14, and ableton live 12 lite.

Haha π yeah no problem, "it happens" or something like that. I also had something like that while trying something out for another problem, I have a dedicated project in cubase and forgot that I have a chorder inserted and of course kontakt behaved strange ππ needed 2 days to find out. It's always a better way to at least create a new track when trying stuff out. Maybe this helps others to prevent this kind of stuff.
