    Well, working in support I can tell you the department and the people working in it are very real, and assist a great deal of people. I can't find any request from you, so maybe you had issues with the chatbot, hundreds of people manage to get in touch every day.

    The thing is these scanning issues are more rare nowadays. It seems to affect people on Windows with a lot of plug-ins. Since there are not so many people affected, if we want to improve and/or fix the issue we'll need some help from the affected users. I understand that the quickest & easiest solution for you short term is to downgrade but then we loose an opportunity to fix this long term.

    I can tell you that if that was the case then there would be a live CS representitive in the chat section and not an AI chat bot to generate the ticket. secondly it has to be a short term fix because as you do being CS rep yourself you make a living doing so as i make a living making music and am depending on the products you troubleshoot I can sit here all day sending logs to an AI chat bot but I have to make a living as well and although I dont want to sound insensitive to your job or the people you work with I have put a log here maybe NI should allow you to pass along those logs to the support team. where as going to an AI chatbot to create one just a suggestion.

    But I will also create a ticket with the same log I put here in the community forums so there is consistancy with your system

    as you can see it take me to the second screen shot and once I click more info thinking I am going to be taken to your support team page I get sent to the first screenshot where it asks me if I can delete my account. lol

    @TeeJay2075 There's a little box at the bottom right that says "need help" this is where you are supposed to go.

    I'll create a ticket for you anyway, this will speed up the process. It's obviously not about just this log file or I wouldn't ask just for that. I understand that you're put of by the AI chatbot, it's only the entry door but I'm sure we can all try to work together fixing this issue.

    Hi all, just tried it Jason, deselected the vst2 option and rescanned just vst3 with no issues. set it just vst2 and it hung again after scanning all the plugins.

    KK has full disk access open with run as administrator.

    Since you are on mac, you must be running KK in Rosetta mode to even scan VST2?

    I'd be ditching the VST2 side since any new projects you make should really be using VST3. VST2 on mac especially is dead so i'd start on that.

    What you could do if you have the patience (probably requires less patience than trying to get through the chatbots to actual humans these days) is remove ALL yur VST2 plugins from your scanned directory and add in just a few at a time and rescan. See if this helps or at least, if it halts you know where the issue may be. MOst plugins worth keeping these days have VST3 versions and unless you have a load of old projects you need to update, makes little sense to have both VST2 and VST3 loaded in KK when KK will really only load VST3 using NKS now anyway.
