I have a multi rack with 3 sounds. How do I filter out the volume pedal, I want to be able to control/fade some sounds, but not others. I can't find anything anywhere?

cheers!

Sorry-didn't know anyone replied until now. Not sure the relevance, but I'm using Gig Performer. My main hardware board is a Korg Kronos. If I'm setting up a combi with a piano/strings layer for example I'd just tick a box to exclude whatever controller I didn't want. Is there not similar in Kontakt? It's cc11 I believe in there, expression pedal.

    Hello,

maybe don't use a multi and do it within gig performer, it has a midi filter module as far as I can see in the manual.

Some kontakt instruments have the ability to disable cc 11 maybe that could be an option too.

As far as I know you can't filter out a midi cc for certain instruments in a multi directly, you can filter MIDI per midi channel but then notes would be filtered out too. This would only work if gig performer could filter out channel information for notes and notes only, them the midi ch setting in kontakt would only influence CC11.

So as far as I can see in the gig performer manual you would add 3 instances of kontakt into one rack space. Wire midi from midi in to all 3 instances, just add the midi filter module, with CC11 set as filtered out, where you don't need it, in between. Then add a mixer to add the 3 instances of kontakt together. But maybe it's a good idea to ask in the gig performer forum as well, maybe you can do something with the script module.
