Selecting scale through Maschine Software

in Maschine

With the new maschine update and the "Play Assist Scales in the Piano Roll" is it possible to select/change scales in the software without using hardware? If so, how can this be done?

    Hello,

    this is only possible with the hardware for maschine, you can do it in the komplete kontrol software but that´s not what you asked for.

    Out of interest, how can I set scale via Komplete Kontrol and Maschine to recognise it with the hardware, is that possible?

    what version , mk3 with the latest firmware , I think auto syncs , I updated mine last night and I’m sure that’s what happens now .

    Beware tho ,

    I’m on a Mac and the firmware bricked my mk3 , fortunately after looking on the forum , I read about the supposed Mac usbc problem and also the cable being dodgy , so I switched to a decent usbc cable and it fixed it ,I’ve read a hub should also do the trick.

    and make sure you got the latest firmware installer installed , otherwise it doesn’t tell you there’s a new firmware .

    I think the keyboard was trying to tell me , because when I switched it on it did say update , but obviously the old updater was saying no updates

    After I notice the scale screen showed “ maschine “ in the background, I’m sure that’s wasn’t there before , and the key guide in maschine piano roll was showing

    Mk1 isn’t supported in maschine 3 , mk2 should work

    I want to try travel with just my laptop soon, and wondering if I can just produce on it without the hardware, the scale highlight is important for me because I don't have good music theory.

    komplete kontrol software , lets you select the scale from the software, but kk software doesn’t work within maschine software, unless you use a hack , and it will have no bearing over maschine piano roll

    The m32 mini keyboard works with maschine , I think , that’s probably the cheapest way to use the feature, or a mikro mk3
