Arturia Plugins stepping in KK (KBDSW-7915)

try with a Init patch on Minimoog, Acid or MS-20….crank the resonance up and move the filter. For me it’s clearly stepping on those and most of the others. With some it’s just a fine stepping resulting in a chirping kinda sound…with others like pigments it’s very big steps and sounds almost like a Sample & Hold effect.
I too think it’s since the latest KK Update.

MS-20 and Pigments are definitely stepping for me, but I don't notice it so much with Acid or the Mini V4.
Hopefully whatever is causing it will be fixed soon. Between this and huge parameter value jumps after changing presets and turning a knob this has been really frustrating. I primarily use the keyboard without Komplete Kontrol these days. It has a fantastic keybed but these software issues are annoying.

I got more feedback from Arturia. Their Q.A department just reproduced and confirmed the issue on their test setup even if it's for now hard to tell if the root cause is on their side or not.
They will keep on digging this issue and of course if needed will reach out to N.I team to see what would be the best course of action here.
At least we get confirmation for the issue and they will try to solve it.

Thanks a lot for your feedback. Will try to get some visibility on our side too.

I really hope this gets solved asap. The new KK update didnt change anything, just to let you know. I understand its a delicate situation, as its not clear, who's to blame…NI or Arturia. But its really unfortunate, as Arturia is the only 3-party company who added on all their plugins the new KK standart including the Edit Function. Thats even more than NI did, as the Edit function is not present on all Plugins, like Super 8 etc.

@Motion Drive We're investigating the issue, it looks like it's more on our side, we don't have an ETA yet, sorry.

Well…over a half year later and many updates from both NI and arturia, nothing has been done to resolve that issue. Really disapointing

I only see this with Pigments, not the other Arturia instruments.

Its still all the mentiont plugins for me. They are unuasable like that.
Its ridiculous, that this isnt getting adressed by either company

Any update? These plugins are still mostly unusable. Total disappointment, and makes me lean toward a Keylab for my next keyboard.

Right? All arturia is totaly unusable…such a shame. The new JP8000 exactly the same.
my hope is, with NI just anouncing that NKS will work on the Arturia MIDI Controllers, things will get fixed.0 -
Have someone worked out what combination of hardware that triggers this issue? I don't see it on my home setup with an M2 MacBook and Komplete Kontrol M32, but I see it with Pigments only in my Studio with an Intel iMac and a KK S61 MK3.

I use it on my PC / Cubase and a Kontrol S49 MK3 only. I have nothing else to compare. As mentiont several times, the issues persists on almost every Plugin…Pigments beeing the worst. But so is Acid, MS20 etc totaly unusable as well.
My guess, why you dont have the issue on M32 is, because its not using the new NKS integration.

Interestingly I don't get this issue if I use the MkIII to control Pigments in Bitwig using a device map template I created (which also uses host automation like KK - not MIDI cc). Nor do I get it in KK 2.9.6, so this is more about the KK 3x host than the hardware per se.

But the KK3 host doesn't display it in every configuration. It seems it's mostly related to the Windows and KK S MK3 combination?
