Buying a used Maschine MK3

hi everyone

So I’m looking at buying a used Maschine Mk3. The seller has advised that all licenses will be transferred.

My question is it comes with Maschine 2 software , now I’m sure I read somewhere (can’t remember where) that when I buy and register the hardware I will get the latest Maschine 3 software. Can you advise if this is true or if I will just get Maschine 2 software which is included in the transfer. Thanks in advance

As far as I'm aware you get the software that was originally supplied with the unit, so I'd expect you to get a Maschine 2 licence. @Jeremy_NI will know for certain so hopefully he'll jump in here after the Easter break. If you only get the Maschine 2 licence you can upgrade to Maschine 3 here - https://www.native-instruments.com/en/pricing/maschine-3/

I second that it’s better to wait for an official answer, because in the past some second hand devices allowed to receive the newly released software instead of the one that was originally bundled. I don’t know if it was out of a mistake or simply “generosity”.

I also second that, in case Maschine 2 will be provided, updating to Maschine 3 (just software) will cost just 29 bucks
