Komplete Kontrol 3.4.1 install fail

Try to update Komplete Kontrol 3.4.1 from Native Access, but install do not work. It show orange "!" mark and "Repail" where one can try to reinstall, but that fail.

Komplete Kontrol icon is now missing from desktop also directory "C:\Program Files\Native Instruments\Komplete Kontrol" is missing. Propably update remove old version, but not able to install a new version. How I can now install Komplete Kontrol software?

    What is your antivirus solution ? Some of us have experienced that our AV prevented Komplete Kontrol 3.4.1 from being installed because of what is apparently a false AV alert. So it's possible exits that it is your AV that prevents the installation of the Komplete Kontrol 3.4.1.

    SOLUTION:
    The reason is F-Secure antivirus which prevents the installation of some C++ files in the Windows system directory. This stops the installation without an error message at the initial stage.

    It does not help even if I allow the installation of the "Komplete Kontrol 3.4.1 Setup PC.exe" file in the F-Secure program, because the blocked program is placed in the user's tmp directory during the installation process, which seems to be different every time - so I cannot create a separate antivirus rule for it to detect it.

    The solution is to completely remove the F-Secure real-time antivirus from the computer for 5 minutes during the installation process. This is scary, but it allowed the Komplete Kontrol program to be installed.

    Previously, in situations like this, it has been enough to make an exception in the F-Secure program that allows a specific program or directory, leaving it unchecked. I have never had to remove the protection of the entire computer when installing any other program.

    I would also like to mention that it is scary to download a program from a Google Drive folder, I would like the programs to be downloaded from official sources whose URL address is the manufacturer's official domain address. This is doubly scary.

    Try this to see if that helps :

    Uninstall Komplete Kontrol

    Then uninstall Native Access

    Then remove KK and NA if still present in the NI reg tool

    Then delete the Native Access folder from %AppData%\Native Instruments\

    Then reboot

    Then download and install Komplete Kontrol 3.2.1

    Then download and install latest version of Native Access for your OS

    I use Cubase so my "C:\Program Files\Native Instruments" folder is full of stuff, and really would not like to delete everything. Komplete Kontrol is not show any menu or list if installed apps in Windows, so I have no idea how to uninstall it when it can't be found.

    That link is to private Google Drive folder - I do not want to download and install apps from there.. some official source would be nice.

    The instruction was to delete the Native Access folder from %AppData%\Native Instruments\ not anything else , also then the %AppData%\Native Instruments\ is a Windows shortcut to C:\Users\[YOUR USER NAME]\AppData\Roaming\Native Instruments and has nothing to do with the C:\Program Files\ folder

    in case of download problems then try logging in into Google first, if that doesn't help then copy the download to own Google drive before the download.

    The above ought to help you circumvent the download limit.

    But if you do not trust me and are not very computer savvy then maybe you better wait for N.I. forum customer care to arrive next week or contact support directly : N.I. Native Access and Installation Support .

    Hello Ajatelma, I remember seeing one similar case which was using the Native Access 1 still, which can also be the same in here. Are you sure you are using the Native Access 2? Can you please send us the screenshot of your Native Access page so we can understand the issue easier and help you to solve that as soon as possible.

    After latest Native Access update, it was no longer suggest update for Komplete Kontrol, it now show like Komplete Kontrol was not installed at all. I then try to Install it.

    Native Access 3.18.0 (55b28dd / 1.24.0.0)

    Native Access > Applications > Komplete Kontrol 389 MB > INSTALL > .. Installation ready
    -- but then no icon on desktop and application folder is empty. Native Access is back in stage where is show INSTALL button active, like installation was never happend.

    I have no idea why I'm not able to install Komplete Kontrol, but everything else.

    Hello Ajatelma, do you get any error message while installing?

    Also, can you please try the workaround below:

    Please quit Native Access, then delete the "Native Access.xml" found here:

    Win:

    C:\Program Files\Common Files\Native Instruments\Service Center

    Mac:

    Mac HD > Library > Application Support > Native Instruments > Service Center

    Then restart computer & Native Access

    If the issue persists, can you please send us the screenshot of your Native Access page so we can understand the issue easier and help you to solve that as soon as possible.

    @Mert_NI ,

    Another report of a virus scanner related problem. N.I. really ought to look into installer behavior or at least get it whitelisted. (So far problems has been with Komplete Kontrol 3.4.1 and also I think there were a problem with Kontakt 7.3 ?)
