Possible to transfer Guitar Rig 2 presets to Guitar Rig 7 to capture the magic of GR2

Hi All,

I really like a lot of the Guitar Rig 7 presets and features, but I used Guitar Rig 2 for more than a decade and have presets whose sounds I cannot reproduce (with hours of effort) in GR7.

Most of these involve the Cab/Mic simulator in GR2 in which components can be swapped within the structure of the Cab/Mic module.

Since this feature is no longer present in the same state in GR7, is it possible to accurately import the preset from GR2? And I also include the possibility of stepping through GR&'s predecessors to reach GR7, as in GR2 to GR5 and then to GR7.

If this is not possible, is anyone aware of an efficient way to recreate patches from GR2?

I especially notice the Psyche Delay is different in both GR5 and GR7 from the original in GR2, with GR2 being significantly better. But mostly the AMP/CAB sim, where GR2 has multiple switchable components and dual channel options that GR7 does not have (integrated into the one module). I am aware of GR7's dual channel routing, and also the Multi Mic console, but as I said, despite hours of fine tuning, I cannot approach the sonic signature of many of my old GR2 patches (which somehow seem cleaner and clearer than the GR7 attempts to achieve the same sound).

I'd love to hear feedback from folks who have been using Guitar Rig long enough to have come up through the various versions who might have an idea of what I'm talking about, and perhaps have worked to find a similar solution..
