Lmao, you ignored the second half and opted to be pretentious, instead. You really don't know what you don't know.

You mean the part with the links that were somehow supposed to prove your point?

TL;DR was there any mention of NI products there? Specifically the Maschine+, which is what the thread is about?

FYI I'm perfectly aware that some tech fails to live up to expectation if/when it comes to market, or the kickstarter thing doesn't raise enough money etc. etc.

At no point did I say that's not the case. What I did say though (please pay attention) is that in MY experience I've never bought anything in an "unfinished" state.

Surprisingly, this week managed to end without update ;-)

I asked the team for details (remember I do not work on this product).

The release is ready, but build servers broke, so the release couldn't run. Really the icing on the cake after a long slog.

We don't release on Friday, really ever (bad practice).

So with working build servers it should go out next week.

    Always the same discussions…

What I know is that I surely spent more months (let’s say almost all) with my Maschine+ not on parity with desktop version (or not updating Maschine otherwise they would not be on parity) than being able to create something in one of the two without asking myself “now how can I move it back and forth to continue my work?”.

Because Standalone also means this: being able to work on one device for comfort (I want to work in another studio with other musicians, I want to sketch something on the sofa, I did something live that I really appreciate and now I have it saved and I can expand it on my computer,…) and then improve it/expand it/refine it on my studio with more tools. Which, between, is almost a must, since M+ is in its way limited (but that is not the point we are discussing. THIS is the point that could be used to say “you knew what you were buying”. And indeed I’m not complaining about that: I knew that it was limited and I accept it. But I also thought (by what they said and advertised) that I would be able to move things between the Standlone and the desktop, and not be worried about “oh no…if I push this update button I will not be able to do it for the next 8 months”…)

I probably must have misunderstood what Maschine+ was able to do, since how often the usual “ it does what it claims it can do” gets used…
