When should we expect a Traktor Pro 4 Update? Any ideas from those in the know?

    Traktor devs are always tight lipped around new software and hardware releases. I would not expect any real answer here.

    You could check how far between 3.9 ←→3.10←→3.11←→4.0←→ 4.1 there is and then make an educated guess.

    The last update was in what October?

    Since then we've seen multiple versions of Komplete, Maschine and other software…. They must not be on an agile approach since that would be a new version roughly every 2 weeks.

    Maybe we will get an update in the new quarter update that should come soon.

    Every 2 months whaaat?

    Traktor 4.1.1 was a quick release to fix issues with 4.0 which came out in June of 2024.

    A large number of NIs other software got lovin in the last month. NI noted they haven't forgot about Traktor.

    Wondered if anyone had some info.

    Also I would imagine NI has different Dev teams for each software….

    Wish it was faster too. But they're working on it, it's definitely not abandoned.

    And what would you want update should bring? Are there bugs? Or features missing?

    Some bugs, for example the sample SIZE mal-function for remix decks.

    Both! There are many bugs and many missing features.

    OK, bugs should be fixed, no question.

    Concerning new features… There is no "right" for new features. Product is as it is, new features may come, or not. I would not expect too much just short time since release… Bugs have to be addressed first.

    Updates come here and there. Once a half year to one year, or so.

    looking forward to the browser update! Hopefully will be able to have MIDI command for enabling ableton link finally….

    I made requests for MIDI commands for many years. NI only sets up commands for new features. No MIDI command updates to old features. Ever (well, i can only attest to TP2.6.8 up). I've stopped asking.

    never noticed that but you’re right. I’ve been asking for a sort column command for a while as well. Seems like it would be really easy to add it in… midikey2key and autohotkey scripts work for the time being I guess…
