You’re very welcome. Happy you have it up and running 👍🏼

Yes, the hosts get installed with the program, so if it wasn’t installed, probably that was the problem. I didn’t understand it wasn’t installed, sorry

My takeaways to help other nubes:

You must first install Native Access with forced "run as administrator" rights even if you are an administrator! (If that fails, stop and uninstall because it won't work unless this installs error-free!)

Then Choose ONLY Maschine 3 (for appropriate devices i.e. my Mikro MK3 or the MK3) and be sure to wait until Native Access fully installs the Maschine 3 app.

Next, also use the forced 'run as administrator' mode to first launch the Maschine 3 app! This is manadtory as it installs two key services, NIHostIntegrationAgent and NIHardwareAgent! If you try to run any other elements, they will not only fail but complicate getting the correct installation to complete!

Once Maschine 3 responds to your device, you can now install as many of those elements from the Native Access loading utility as needed or desired. I hope this helps someone new to this process.

red_nick I am sorry, I missed your comment. You are right and that is what I incorporated into my advice to beginners. The key is the Maschine 3 app FIRST, but Native Instruments demands you install it through their Native Access loader utility. This can cause some places that things can go wrong.

PK The DJ You were right, I was putting the cart before the horse, here. Controller Editor was not needed and it just confused me causing me to think the installation had failed again, when the key wa the Maschine 3 app itse

Although I got it working on my laptop, I still could not install my Mikro MK3 in the Maschine 3 on my studio desktop running a ROG STRIX B550-F Gaming Wifi II motherboard. The NIHostIntegrationAgent service would not show as a service! I tried the most exotic things, like trying to manually install Maschine 3 (found it hiding in Windows\Temp), deleting all the Native Instruments files in: C:\ProgramData, AppData\local, AppData\roaming, and C:\Windows\Temp, but nothing worked.

Then I noticed my Native Access does not have Komplete Kontrol in it! ******? I looked to see if it was discontinued, and no one said it was, but it is not in my very full Native Access app! It was supposed to be included inside the Komplete Start bundle, but it would not download. When I tried it just told me it was in Native Access! And it is not. Komplete Start is in my licenses but it never got to Native Access! I found this in the Community post:

I downloaded and installed Komplete Kontrol 3.1.0 from the above post and I got a working NIHostIntegrationAgent service! Then a simple repair (using Native Access) of my Maschine 3 app and for the first time on my new motherboard I had a selectable choice (no longer grayed out) for Mikro MK3! Now my Mikro MK3 is lighting up and responding. (See images) and when I got my audio preferences configured it works great. I am missing the other service, (NIHardwareAgent), but it does not seem to be an issue. Are they both required for a Mikro MK3? What features will I lose if that service is not present?
