Controller Editor for A49 keyboard

I don't see the A49 listed; i know its a more basic keyboard than the S series. Is there something missing, or do I simply not need the Editor?

regards

Thanks, I have a subsidiary question: the laptop is not seeing the A49. I have to un-plug and re-plug. Its then listed in the KK menu, although the checkbox still won't engage. So I have to open up Test My MIDI webpage, and again un-plug and re-plug, and then its seen. Then KK will check box the A49.

Is this a USB port issue in Windows? how can i diagnose this?

That sounds strange to me, and in this case I don't thinks it's a power saving setting issue but maybe worth a try. You can disable USB power down.

You could also check in task manager for programs that could occupy the keyboard. And also check the device manager, if there is a device with an exclamation mark, of it's in the not working state.

Thank you, yes that's more than likely to be it. Done.

Hi Thanks for above; I've disabled USB power, but it seems this problem still persists. My MPC boots up out of sleep mode fine (in MIDI mode, as I need); the USB hub 'sees' the Komplete A49; but Kontakt can't turn it 'On'. I have to run TestMyMIDI (which ironically also can't see the A49 until I remove the plug and insert again). After waking it up in TestMyMIDI, Kontakt will then be able to switch it to 'On'. Whilst the A49 is connected through a hub, it still seen by the Device Manager in the first instance. Any insight greatly appreciated. My hit record can't wait any longer.

Have you tried to directly connect the a49 to your computer without the hub?

Yes, its the same issue as I posted on 25th March. I tested all ports, and then switched off power down as you advised. Kontakt sees the MPC immediately, so it the software functions to some degree; it lists the A49, but cannot access it. Even running TestMyMIDI requires me to unplug it while that webpage is open; then TMM sees the port, and then Kontakt will see the port. It performs just the same in the hub. Thanks.

Native Instruments uses bone midi as virtual midi cable from the service to your DAW or wherever you need it, you could try to install this:

Otherwise try to open your device manager, set in options that you see all devices, disconnect the a49 and delete all a49 related devices, if asked for deleting the driver too, da yes. Then reinstall komplete kontrol, it should also reinstall the driver's, then after that replug the keyboard.
