Why is my Traktor Pro 4 so sluggish

Hi guys!
I have Traktor Pro 4 running on a M! Macbook Pro 64GB Ram and 37GB available free space. I'm currently running on OS Sonoma 14.7.2.
My mid 2012 MB Pro Ran way faster with 16GB Ram on Traktor Pro 3.
I'm cautions to update my OS to the later version as I have a Ableton and tons of plugins there too. Sometimes the latest OS updates causes some plugin issues if the developers aren't up to date yet.
Any advice is very welcome!
Many Thanks

As I expect, that you are talking about a M1 MacBook Pro, 64 GB RAM mean it has to be a M1 Max and therefore has at least 512 GB of storage. 37 GB free space is not so much. Flash storage tends to get slower if there isn't much free space. Depending on who you ask it is recommended to have something from 10% up to 20% of storage free.
Therefore the low storage would be my first suspect. But it can have many other causes.
While using Traktor do you have other software run at the same time? Do you have issues with other software too? Usually a M1 Max should have more than enough power to drive Traktor Pro 4.

maniacintosh81. I've played on the same software on the same machine with barely any free space 1 or 2 GB while running ableton live 12 with it and it was way more responsive. All my other software runs silky smooth. I even had 90GB free a few weeks ago. No difference compared to now. I just reinstalled Traktor 4. I updated to a newer OS. Still hardly any improvement. I'm cautious to update to the latest Mac OS as I produce in Ableton with a lot of 3rd party plugins and can't risk them not working now. So finding myself in a very diffycult situation here. Either sluggish Traktor and all plugins working or possible improvement in Traktor with latest Mac OS but some Ableton plugins not working anymore. I do hybrid dj/live sets.

Okay, was just an idea. But if other software runs smoothly I don‘t expect this to be the cause. But still have no better idea.
Sonoma shouldn‘t be the problem. Have all my Macs still on Sonoma and Traktor runs smoothly for me on all of them.
