How to Log in

While I can easily log in in the website with my email address and password, I can never, ever log in to the Native Access program I downloaded to my MacBook. I've never seen anything more frustrating in my life. Please help.

Unfortunately the Mac security popup isn't something NI can do anything about directly. I suppose they could put up a warning box before they try to install the extra components, something to say "The next popup wants your Mac credentials not your NI ones". I'll throw it in as a suggestion.

And yep, Kore was wayyyyy ahead of its time, shame it got dropped as it was a sound designer's dream. Nice compact controllers too - one of those with a nice OLED screen would make a great standalone NKS controller!

If you've just installed Native Access on a MacBook the first time it runs it will ask for a username and password to install some extra components. At that point it's expecting your MacBook username and password, NOT your Native Instruments details. Once you've got past that you'll see a much larger banner that clearly says "Log In with Native ID" at the top, like this :

If you're at that point and you still can't log in come back here and we'll try to help more.

Thank you mykejb for the answer to this. Had reset my NI password three times trying to figure this out and created this forum account just to ask this question. Good to see someone already offered the solution.

Definitely a reminder of one reason why I quit using NI products over a decade ago (after investing loads of time and money into them) and am loath to return. Making me rethink buying Kontakt after just wasting 30 minutes of my time with a simple login issue that could have so easily been made clear. 🤦‍♂️

Going to browse the refund policies just in case. Got burned by NI with Kore and still don't trust them at all.

Hello resitozenen, as mykejb said this popup is asking for your admin password(the one that you are using top login to your computer instead of Native Access), sorry for the frustration. We are working to improve the experience. mykejb thank you very much for the help here and the feedback that you advised.

    I hope this helps☺️
